After about two months of good and artistic football engagements among 32 teams, F.A Victory FC has proven that its emergence as the Champions of the 12th edition of the Bolowotan Gold Cup was no fluke and that the team is ready to repeat the feat as they have reached the final of this year’s edition .
The cup holder beat another good team, Greater Height FC 1 – 0 in the first semi final match played at the Police Ground Playing Ground on Monday, July 26, 2020, to book a consecutive final match against N-TAB FC.
The final match is scheduled to hold on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at the Strong Tower Academy Sports Arena, lkorodu.
The loosers’ match (Third Place match) between Greater Height FC and Adebax FC will also come up at the same venue on the same day.
Seun Adepoju (No 10 jersey) scored the only goal for F.A Victory FC against Greater Height FC in the 64th minute.
N-TAB FC, which have also been outstanding since the commencement of the tournament, qualified for the final after defeating Adebax FC 6 – 5 via penalty shootouts after playing 1-1 draw after regulation time in the second semi final match played on Tuesday, July 27.
Spectators are expecting an epic match between the two teams in the final.
Both teams had played 6 matches so far. While F.A Victory FC lost only one match in the group stage and qualified from its group for the knockout stage with 6 points, N-TAB FC only had one draw in the group stage and qualified for the Knockout stage with 7 points.
