The IKorodu Heroes (I – Heroes), a political, developmental and community group of professional Ikorodu sons, has congratulated the newly inaugurated Pro – Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, Sir David Sunmoni, KJW, FCA.
The new Pro – Chancellor, is one of the I – Heroes advisers, a Knight of John Wesley (KJW) of the Methodist Church Nigeria and former Accountant – General of Lagos State.
In a statement signed by the President of the group, Mr Abolaji Oluwaseun Elesho, the group assured that Sir Sunmoni is well qualified to administer the only state-owned University in Lagos State.
They also expressed confidence that their adviser will bring his experience and capability to bear on his new assignment.
“I-Heroes congratulates Sir D.O.A Sunmoni, KJW, on his appointment and inauguration as the Pro Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Board of Lagos State University”, the group stated.
“Sir Sunmoni, a former Accountant General of Lagos State, is by far qualified and capable for the new role he has been appointed to by the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
“We are confident that he will bring his wealth of experience, both from the private sector and from his days in the public service, to bear on this new appointment.
“We, therefore, look forward to seeing exemplary and remarkable improvement in the general corporate image of LASU. Congratulations to our adviser”.
