The incumbent Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) who is seeking re – election, Builder Olusesan Daini, was today presented with the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag as the Chairmanship candidate in the July 24 Local Government election.
He was presented with the flag by the APC Chairman in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Sefiu Ogunyemi alongside Asipa Kaoli Olatunji Olusanya, the Vice Chairman, APC Lagos East Senatorial District and other party chieftains, at the flag – off campaign for the election in the council.
The five Councillorship candidates of the party were also presented with flags as the party’s flag bearers at the ultra – modern Igbogbo/Bayeku market/car park along Awolowo Way, Igbogbo.
Hon. Ogunyemi, while presenting the party’s flag to the candidates, charged members of the party and residents to vote for them come July 24.
He assured residents that if voted into office, the party’s flag bearers will bring about improvement and development in the council.
He also commended the outgoing members of the council's executive and legislative arms for making the party proud.
Asipa Kaoil Olusanya, while also speaking at the event, said that Builder Daini has performed and deserves a second term as the Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.
“The Chairman of the Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA has performed creditably well in office during his first tenure. We have seen some developmental edifices erected. He built a new Council Secretariat, and the ground that we are today, the Igbogbo ultra modern market and car park from a location which used to be a shanty”, Asipa Kaoli said.
The APC Chieftain said that the Daini administration has added value to the Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA with infrastructural development which, according to him, has encouraged and brought investors and entrepreneurs to the council and also improved the council’s economic development.
Asipa Kaoli added that it was on this basis that the entire council came together and asked him to run for another term.
“For doing this, his entire constituents came together and asked him to run for the second term. In fact, he is the sole candidate of our party in the coming election”.
He assured that the leaders in the council will work with both the executive and the legislative arms of the government to ensure cooperation and the delivery of dividends of democracy to the people.
In his speech, Builder Daini said that he will not take his adoption for the second term for granted.
He appreciated the leadership of the party and members for the trust reposed in him to stand for re – election for the second term.
“I want to appreciate everyone for the trust and furthermore, I want to say that what many people are saying that “one good turns deserves another” will not be taken for granted.
“I am aware that the mandate given to me and my team is a responsibility to work and represent the party for the next four years. This is not because we are special since we have many other qualified people that can do it, but you just resolved to entrust your confidence in us to represent Igbogbo.
While unveiling his campaign agenda, Daini pledged that his administration will make residents of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA happy in the next four years.
He said that he would ensure that there is quality education in primary schools, good health care services, improved road conditions, and development of more markets among others.

Nurudeen Solaja, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Adebimpe Akinsola, former acting Commissioner for Tourism, Hon. Gbenga Oshin, former Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. (Prince) Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, former Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Gbenga Basanya, former Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon.
