The performing representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Babajimi Benson, has announced that the construction of the Ademoye/Alashe/Wake-Up behind Ikorodu Police Divisional Headquarters along Igbogbo road, lkorodu.
The federal lawmaker and Chairman, House Committee on Defense, stated this while speaking with THE IMPACT during the tour of the ongoing construction of Ayanbadejo, Ajoke Oduyebo, Nike Olubodu and Kas Avenue, on Saturday, June 19, 2021.
The road, which its ongoing rehabilitation is being facilitated by Hon. Benson, will link Adeniran Ogunsanya and Sabo – Itamaga –Itoikin roads, when completed.
He said that most requests from his constituents during his need assessment were on roads and this, according to him, is the reason he has been focusing on facilitating inner road construction among other projects across Ikorodu division since he was elected for a second term.
“My needs assessment, one of the things that my constituents are proud of, revealed road as the major need of the people. Good roads make people rich; reduce stress; make people commute and communicate effectively. So, I will always use my legislative wherewithal to attract projects, particularly roads to my constituency and I will continue to do it”, he said.
“We are also looking at doing Ademoye/Alashe/Adeyemi roads behind the Police Barracks in Ikorodu. Baba Olowooribi (Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division) lives around this axis and since we are already doing one for Baba Samadani (Sheikh Oshoala), we are going to balance the equation by doing these roads”, Benson announced to the cheering crowd.
The lawmaker also said that he also plans to construct another mini – stadium in Imota and Primary Health Centre in Ijede among other projects.
In the last two years, the young lawmaker has facilitated the reconstruction of the Palm Palmer and Igbe roads in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area of Ikorodu Constituency II and also currently facilitating the rehabilitation of the five connecting roads in Ikorodu Constituency 1.
