The Senator representing Lagos State Senatorial District, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru, has expanded the number of people benefitting from his COVID-19 Relief Financial Assistance in the 98 wards of the 16 Local Council areas in the Lagos East Senatorial district.
170 new constituents were among the beneficiaries that received direct credit in their respective bank accounts on Friday, May 28, 2021.
About 1000 beneficiaries have been benefitting from the assistance scheme that kicked off in January, 2021 is the fulfilment of the promise made by the Senator during the electioneering to provide succour to the poorest of the poor in the district.
In a statement by the Senator’s Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Mr Enitan Olukotun, he said that Sen. Abiru has increased the numbers of the beneficiaries.
“Senator Abiru further expands the numbers of beneficiaries to accommodate an additional 170 vulnerable individuals in the district” he said.
“Selected beneficiaries have been getting N5000 assistance bimonthly (i.e once in two months) since the beginning of the year and it will run through the year by way of direct credit to their bank accounts.
“Senator Tokunbo Abiru is keeping faith with his promise to always prioritise policies and legislative agenda that will be of benefit to the greatest number of people”
