The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA at the weekend paid a condolence visit to the family of late Brigadier-General Lookman Olatunji Olayinka.
The governor and the Senator who arrived the residence of the deceased’s family in the company of Commissioner of Environment, Mr Tunji Bello and other aides of the governor.
Senator Abiru while commiserating with the family over the irreparable loss of their son urged them to take the tragic event with equanimity in total submission to Almighty Allah.
The Senator specifically consoled the mother, wife, Mrs Oluwatosin Olayinka and the eldest son of the family, Barrister Lanre Olayinka , his bosom friend. He encouraged him to take heart.
Abiru who was badly hit by the loss because of his closeness to the family, held the distraught mother of the deceased, Mrs Olawanle Folakunmi Olayinka and comforted her.
Family members and sympathisers in attendance include: Mrs Omotayo Marcus, Mr Abiodun Ayodele, Mrs Bimbo Green, Mrs Ajoke Murtala-Muhammed, Mrs Victoria Adeyinka Olayinka, Mrs Rashidat Adesoye, Mr Tunde Adeola, Mr Jide Adeola, Rotimi Ailero, Lolade Ailero, Lolade Raji , Lanre Jimoh, Mrs Tokunbo Olayinka and Tola Ayodele.
Late Brigadier-General Olatunji Olayinka alongside the Chief Of Army Staff,Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru and other military officers died in an ill-fated military plane last Friday.
