The good deeds and quality representation of the Councilor representing the Ward C2 in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA, Hon. Wasiu Adedayo Olowu, has continued to speak for him as more constituents continue to show support for his re – election.
Two major important structures – traditional and Community Development Associations/Community Development Committee (CDC) within the Ward have adopted him and officially written to that effect to the Apex body of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.
In the two letters made available to THE IMPACT, chieftains and residents in the community are demanding for the continuity of Hon. Olowu as their Councilor.
Various CDAs, community developers and residents had last week donated money for the Councilor’s nomination form and also pledged their support for his re – election bid.
In a letter addressed to the Apex Political Leaders in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, on May 10, 2021, and signed by High Chief Tajudeen Onasanya, the Odofin of Igbogbo, as the Chairman of the Agunfoye Community Elders’ Council and Comrade Towolawi Olawale, the Treasurer & Assistant Secretary of the all CDAs in Agunfoye, lre and part of Oga Oloye under CDC Zone 9, the body, on behalf of residents, expressed their satisfaction over the performance of the local legislator.
“The entire Community Development Associations (CDAs) under Zone 9 Community Development committee (CDC), Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, hereby, endorse Hon. Olowu Wasiu Adedayo for second term in office as the Councilor for Ward C2”, the letter reads.
“This decision was made after serious deliberation among the CDAs in the zone.
“We are fully in support of him to continue on that path of success. Thank you as we await your fatherly endorsement”, it added.
In another endorsement letter by the Council of Baales (Selewu, Eregidab and Agunfoye/Gegenla) under Ward C2, the three traditional Chiefs, on May 14, 2021, also endorsed Hon. Olowu.
Chief Olusola Adeleke Olugbode, Baale Selewu Oremala, Chief Moshood Adeniji, Baale Eregidan, and Chief Abass Jamiu Ishola, Baale Agunfoye/Gegenla, signed the letter, a copy of which was also sent to THE IMPACT.
The letter was titled, “Re: Lagos State Forthcoming Local Government Election 2021 –Endorsement of Hon. Wasiu Adedayo Olowu For Second Term”.
“It is our pleasure to humbly convey the collective resolution of all the communities under our respective domains in Selewu, Eregidan and Agunfoye/Gegenla on the above subject matter.
“We, the Selewu, Eregidan and Agunfoye/Gegenla Joint Council of Baales, after due consideration and appraisal of Hon. Wasiu Adedayo Olowu’s tenure and impressive record of service and performance in office in the last four years as Councilor representing Ward C2, which traverses over 60 communities, hereby, willingly endorse Hon. Wasiu Olowu for a second term in office”, they stated while declaring their support for Olowu.
The three Baales said that they are throwing their support behind Hon. Olowu after extensive consultations with leaders and residents of the Ward.
“The joint Council is cognizant of the fact that grassroots governance belongs to the people and Hon. Wasiu Olowu has redefined the political landscape with his impressive record of performance in the last four years”.
The traditional community heads, who said that the Councilor has worked closely with them in developing the Ward, also added that he has made many residents have a change of mind towards politicians with his sterling performance.
