Players of the Igbogbo Beach Soccer Club returned to winning ways on Friday when they engaged Smart City BSC in a derby at the second round of the National Beach Soccer League (NBSL) in Kebbi State.
Adeboruwa defeated Zulu Boys 4 – 5 to win the match played at Birnin Kebbi.
The Igbogbo team with the win against Smart City now occupies second position on the table.
The team media officer, Mr Dolapo Ewulogbo said that the match was tough but Adeboruwa Boys had a deserved victory.
He also said that the boys now have better understanding of the game and playing as a team.
“Better understanding of the game and roles of every individual player aided the teamwork and resulted positively in the match outcome. Though, we still need some adjustments to achieve a great team” he said in a chat on Saturday afternoon.
“We are not resting on our oars until the team sits comfortably at the top of the NBSL Ground B table” he added.
Legbe Tamara-emi scored 2 goals with his first NBSL goal in the 5seconds of the match.
Other goals for the Igbogbo team came from Oghenovo Uzezi, Nwankwo Ikechukwu and Dapo Lawanson, who scored a goal each.
Meanwhile, Igbogbo BSC will be playing against the Benin BSC today also in Birnin Kebbi.
