It is going to be another cracker today in the ongoing National Beach Soccer League second round going on in Kebbi State as Igbogbo Beach Soccer Club (BSC) go against another Lagos team, Smart City BSC, in Birnin Kebbi.
The Adeboruwa Boys lost their first game against KADA BSC in a fierce match yesterday which ended 5 – 6, but the team is well motivated to confront Zulu Boys who beat them 2 – 3 in the first round of the league in Lagos.
While Zulu Boys are second on the Group B table, Adeboruwa Boys occupy the third position.
According to the Igbogbo BSC Media Officer, Mr Ewulogbo Dolapo (DD Dragon), in a chat with THE IMPACT today, he said that the players are motivated to fight like wounded lions to win today’s match.
“Our players are going to be playing like wounded lions in today’s match The wounded lions of Igbogbo BSC who unfortunately lost three consecutive matches after their first win will be striking hard against the Smart-City BSC for a win to make up for lost points.
Speaking on the yesterday’s game that the Adeboruwa Boys loss to KADA BSC, Ewulogbo said:
“The match was a fierce battle between the Adeboruwa Boys and the Kada Boys but the veteran and experienced side prevailed with a single goal margin.
“Our boys who are rookies turned professionals stepped up their game yesterday and won the first period but unfortunately lost the second period having lost concentration from the start of the period.
“The last period produced a tactical and cautious approach from both sides and eventually ended in a draw, but our guys paid for their loss of concentration in the second period”, he said.
Oghenovo Uzezi scored 2 goals, which are fastest goals in the NBSL Round 2, for the Igbogbo BSC.
Nwankwo Ikechukwu also scored 2 goals and Afolabi Ojo 1 goal for the team.
