A leading aspirant for the Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chairmanship position on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Samuel Adegboyga Oyebola, popularly called ‘Ologijo’, has obtained his party nomination form.
The financial expert and political scientist collected the form today at the APC State Secretariat, ACME, Ikeja, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the party for the Local Government election scheduled to hold on July 24.
The grassroots politician confirmed the collection of the form to THE IMPACT during a phone chat while he was still at the APC Secretariat.
“Yes, I just obtained my form and l am still in ACME to do other necessary things”, he confirmed.
“This is a very first step to formally communicate to our party at the state level that we are serious about the contest which is geared towards salvaging our party and people.
“As an aspirant with track records in party politics, community development and humanitarian activities, we have highlighted impacting and developmental programmes that would really make meaning to our people.
“We shall be unveiling details of these as we progress in our campaign and your reputable organization (THE IMPACT) will be availed with details”, Prince Oyebola said.
Aside Prince Oyebola, sources also informed our reporter that a former Vice Chairman in Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon Sulaimon Kazeem, current Vice Chairman, Hon. Sesan Dada, have obtained nomination forms to also contest for the council’s Chairmanship position .
THE IMPACT has also gathered that many Councillorship aspirants in Ikorodu West LCDA have also obtained their nomination forms.
According to the APC guidelines, the sales and submission of party forms holds between May 4 and May 11 while the screening of aspirants would start from May 13 and ends on May 21.
