Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, on Monday received Ikorodu Bois, a group that is prominent for its comedy online which recreates and mimics multi-million dollar music videos, Hollywood movie trailers and epic pictures.
Ikorodu Bois comprises Babatunde Sanni, Muiz Sanni, Malik Sanni, and their cousin, Fawas Aina derived their group name from Ikorodu Township where they reside.
With the group during the visit to the State House are Rep. Babajimi Benson, Chairman, House of Representative Defense Committee and the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency Builder Sesan Daini, Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area in Ikorodu Division area of Lagos State.
Sanwo – Olu on his Twitter handle commended the group for placing Ikorodu and Lagos State on the global entertainment map adding that Lagos is committed to developing creative talents.
“Today, I welcomed generational filmmaking talent Ikorodu Bois, whose creativity has put them and Ikorodu on the global map of international platforms like Netflix, earned them a nomination at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards and put their faces on billboards in Times Square, NY” he said.
“As a State, we are proud of them and I thank them for visiting me today.
“We are committed to developing creative talent in Lagos as we continue to serve as the premier destination for musical, art and creative talent generation in Africa” the Governor added.
