Fans, both local and overseas, have been identifying with the popular Ikorodu – born musician, Qdot Alagbe who is known globally for his hip hop Afrobeat usually mixed with indigenous Yoruba style of music.
The singer, song writer and performer was born Fakoya Qudus Oluwadamilare on April 30, 1988, in Ikorodu where he lived and schooled and also started his musical development while in secondary school.
Today, Qdot is not only a great ambassador of Ikorodu, but also Lagos, Nigeria and indeed African, for his effort in propagating and preserving one of the continent most important languages (Yoruba) through his style of music.
No wonder there was outpouring of love, affection and approval for the young talented musician as fans besieged his social media platforms to wish him happy birthday and offer prayers for him. Thousands of fans have been commenting on his social media platforms, especially his Facebook page, ‘Q – dot (Alagbe). Few of these are reproduced below:
Salawu Mohammed Olatunji wrote to wish Qdot happy birthday and also commended him for what she described as his innovative music.
“Happy birthday to you dear brother, thanks for the innovation you have brought to music industry and the level you are taking it to. Sky is your stepping stone bro. Cheers to a new wonderful age!”.
Aminat Mohammed, also commenting, said that the musician’s songs always lift her soul.
“Happy birthday to the singer that lift my soul, you are blessed beyond imagination, long life and prosperity igba odun ojokan nii oo”.
Abdul Rahman Lawal Rmj wrote:
“From all of us @ Lad-One Multimedia Ghana, we wish you long life and Prosperity”.
Another fan, Funmilayo Omobolanle Olaniyan, described Qdot as his favourite artiste.
“Happy birthday Qdot (Alagbe),my favorite artist. Long life and prosperityamen. Age with sufficient grace, lnshaa Allah”.
Akanbi Ovie wrote on Qdot’s Facebook page:
“Happy blessed birthday to one of the most important talented artists we’re gifted in our generation, alagbe the q-dot”.
Another fan, Adeaga Jnr OluwaFeola, wrote that Qdot’s songs always inspire him.
“Alagbe himself, your songs inspire me a lot, I’m one of your biggest fans… that’s why I wish you a happy birthday, and many more years in return, bros qudus.
“Whatever you wish for yourself will surely come to reality and you will have fame than you ever think of. I wish you can come to my engagement this weekend so that my lovely wife and l can have a tip of your songs….will forever appreciate you Boss..”.
SF Importa Adefeso Ola also described Qdot as the most talented in the music industry while he wished him happy birthday.

Another fan, Agbomeji Wakilat Oritoke Mutiu, said:

An Ikorodu – born pal of the of the artiste, Basheer Hafis Laketu Hafis, wrote:

Monsurat Pelumi, another Ikorodu – born lady who is very close to the artiste, also wrote:
“Happy Birthday to you brother. May lines fall in pleasant places for you IJMN”.
A Prince of Ikorodu and Emure, Kazym Faramade Lamidey Elemuren, also joined millions of family members, friends and fans of Qdot globally to wish him a wonderful birthday.
“Happy Birthday Qdot. May lines fall in pleasant places for you bro”.
Deji Osho JP, another Ikorodu – born public figure and social media commentator, wrote:
“Best wishes brotherly, continue to make great exploit”.
An Ikorodu –born politician and tax expert, Yinka Majekodunmi, also wrote:
“Happy birthday, age with sufficient grace. LLNP”.
