The representative of the Ikorodu Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Nurudeen Solaja, has described the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the best man to lead the country come 2023.
There has been growing clamour that the former Governor of Lagos should declare and contest for the Presidency in the next general elections.
Hon. Solaja commended the Ijebu traditional rulers in Lagos State who openly endorsed the political leader for the President at their meeting held at the Adeboruwa palace in Igbogbo recently.
The lawmaker, who is the Chairman, Assembly Committee on Public Accounts (State), speaking with THE IMPACT, also said that elections will be conducted into offices at the local government level soon.
“I can tell you that come 2023, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will be President”, the lawmaker stated with confidence.
“I commend our Obas and entire Ijebu Obas in Lagos State for their position regarding our leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, urging him to contest for the office of the President of the country come 2023.
“He is tested, trusted and proven to be effective and efficient and reliable”.
The two – term lawmaker, while stating some of his reasons for rooting for Asiwaju Tinubu’s Presidency, said that whoever has successfully administered Lagos, which he described as the capital of the country, will be able to manage the country.
“Anybody that has governed Lagos State can effectively rule Nigeria, especially Tinubu that laid the foundation of the development that Lagos is enjoying now.
“Another aspect of him that will be of advantage for the country when he becomes the President, is that he has the capacity and gift to constitute a capable team that will work for the economic, political and social developments of the country”, he said.
Speaking on the local government elections, Hon. Solaja said that the elections will be conducted soon.
“We will conduct the LG elections any moment from now. Though, I may not be able to state the exact time”.
