“I give God the glory and thanks for witnessing another birthday celebration. The occasion provided me another opportunity to appreciate my creator and share love with ever – committed and dedicated Igbogbo youths who have been making giant strides in community development.
“It was also an opportunity to also share the occasion with our great ambassadors who are representing us in the Beach Soccer league. It is indeed a milestone for us in Igbogbo and Ikorodu Division in general.
“With the success of the first – ever Beach Soccer tournament hosted here in lgbogbo last December and participation of our players in the national league, we have proven that our division is not just surrounded with water but that we can also make productive use of it.
“I am appealing, on behalf of the team, that the government should assist in developing our coastal lines so that we can encourage more participation in the beach soccer game.
“As a Division, we also have to come to the aid of this team in terms of funding, training materials and sponsorship, for them to do well in the next phase. If they are adequately supported, what that means is that members of the team will be dedicated to the game and encourage more youths to participate”, Aroyewun said.
