The Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, has expressed shock at the death of Yeye Fausat Gbadebo, the APC Lagos East Woman leader who passed away earlier today, while also commiserating the family she left behind.
In a statement signed by the Senator, he stated the late politician was a mother to all within the party and acknowledged her contributions during the election that brought about his emergence as a Senator.
“I received the news of the death of mama, Yeye Chief Mrs Fausat Adeola Gbadebo, with shock earlier this morning, but with total submission to the will of Almighty Allah (SWT). Yeye was a prominent woman leader in our party APC and she played a motherly role to all within the party, in Ikorodu and Lagos East in general.
“The news of her sudden death is one that is painful to me, especially when considering the significant role she played during the election which saw my emergence as the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial district at the Nigeria Senate. Mama’s advisory role to me is one that will be sorely missed.
“I commiserate with the entire family of Gbadebo and Onilenla in Ijede, the APC family in Lagos East and the good people of Ikorodu in general. I pray for the repose of her soul and I pray that Allah grants the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
“May Allah grants her Aljanah Firdaus, Amin”.
