Also, the inventive drama group, DBard Creative House, will present spell binding stage play at the event.
In a release signed by Coordinators of the 2020 edition of the project, Miss Gift Nweke & Miss Omotoyosi Fadayomi, it stated that GLOWFUX Charity Concert, “is a unique atmosphere where children of the haves and have-nots hang out together, play and share happiness without any discrimination.
“It is also an avenue for the general public specially invited as guests to present relief/gift items to the needy homes present there”.
According to the organisers, the resolve to host this year’s edition regardless of the global challenge which plagued the year stemmed from the belief that everyone deserves to be happy and thankful to God for seeing the end of year 2020.
“lt is our belief that despite the COVID-19 pandemic which has a huge negative effect on global economy, we are not unaware of the plausibility of families and friends coming together to rejoice for seeing the end of the year; albeit the celebration might not be as elaborate as it used to be.
“Hence, the need not to deprive our friends at less privileged homes, homes of people with special abilities and correctional centres from enjoying the annual gathering became expedient.”
In line with tradition, the organisers also stated that “this year’s edition shall record induction of new GLOWFUX Young Ambassadors to serve as GLOWFUX ambassadors within their immediate communities (Schools, homes, worship/religious centres, etc) to propagate the GLOWFUX vision”.
GLOWFUX Young Ambassadors are children between ages 5 to 17 who are being given early life exposure to the beauty of caring for others, championing worthy cause and building network of positive minded people.
For the 2020 edition, Ms Esther Ijewere (Founder, Rubies Ink Initiative for Women & Children), Mr. Olaonipekun Adams (Chartered Accountant), and iCare Foundation will be conferred with GLOWFUX Woman of the Year 2020, Man of the Year 2020, and GLOWFUX NGO of the Year 2020 awards respectively.
