It was indeed a celebration of a humble woman, a nurse, mother, disciplinarian and good Christian, Mrs Dorcas Temidire Adeniji, when family members, political figures, community developers, youth leaders, friends and well – wishers gathered on Saturday, October 24, 2020, for her 50th birthday.
Many that spoke about the celebrant at the event included the Lord Bishop Rt. Revd. M.J. Toyi, Bishop of the United African Methodist Church (UAMC), Eleja, Chief Adenrele Olowu, Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Builder Sesan Daini, Executive Chairman of the Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Prince Adeniyi Ogunlewe, Otun Baba – Ijo, UAMC Cathedral, Igbogbo, Representative of the Balogun family where the celebrant was born into and that of the Adeniji, the celebrant’s in – laws and Representatives of different societies which she belongs to, her husband and children.
They all took turns to speak glowingly about her discipline, humility, commitment dedication and love for the work of good, humanity and family.
The ceremony was held at the HRM Oba Abdul – Semiu Orimadegun Kasali, Emudoriade I, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Multipurpose Hall, Rotary Club Vocational Centre beside Igbogbo Stadium, Igbogbo.
Other guests at the occasion were Mr Ade Bolowotan, Chief of Staff to the Executive, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Mr Lekan Ahmed Aroyewun, the Vice President/Director of Programmes, De – Vanguard, ikorodu and a prominent political figure, Mr Shakiru Seidu, Publisher, MegaXpression, Prince Lateef TySleek Odusanya, Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Igbogbo branch, and Comrade Samson Bisiriyu, the Executive Director, Ikorodu Division Youth Initiatives Movement (IDYIM) and others.
There were also members of the Temidire Praying Band, Female Providence Society, Jolly Sisters and Young Female Providence Society.
