The Lagos State Government on Tuesday (today) approved the full resumption of operations in markets across the state.
Unlike the restriction put in place due to the COVID – 19 pandemic, they are now to open daily.
In a statement announcing this, the Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Dr Wale Ahmed, said that the Governor of the State, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, took the decision to further enhance trade and commerce.
He added that the decision to open markets for full operations is to mitigate the hardship of recent times and ensure that Lagosians recover fast.
According to him, Mr Governor also advised that traders and customers to continue adhering to safety protocols regarding COVID-19 pandemic.
