The Chairman of the Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina, has called for peace while also identifying with the victims of the #EndSARS protest across the state.
In a statement issued by the Chairman, he also assured residents that he will liaise with the state government in ensuring that residents that lost their properties to the riot get compensation.
“I urged members of the community to remain peaceful and be on the alert always to prevent any form of attack moving forward”, the statement said.
Adeshina also appreciated the residents of Ikorodu for their united stand in protecting their common heritage.
“My administration will liaise with appropriate authorities in ensuring damaged properties are replaced and a compiled list of victims would receive adequate compensation”, he pledged.
The Council Mayor prayed that God grants all the fallen heroes perfect peace and their families the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
He also prayed for those who are still hospitalized due to one injury or the other and those that have lost their businesses and other properties to vandalism for recovery.
More so, Hon Adesina commended the consistent efforts of the State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, in restoring normalcy in Lagos State.
