The management of the Lagos State Polytechnic has announced that students of the institution will resume in phases for the post COVID – 19 academic session.
Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo –Olu, had announced that tertiary institutions in the state should resume back on campus on Monday, September 14, 2020, after about seven months that they have been closed down due to COVID – 19 outbreak.
According to Mr Lanre Kuye, the Director, Information and Public Relations of the institution, Higher National Diploma (HND) I and II students are to resume on Monday, September 14, 2020, while National Diploma (ND) I students’ resumption is slated for Monday, September 21, 2020.
Students in National Diploma (ND) II, according to the released academic calendar, are to resume on Monday, October 5, 2020. They are also expected to conclude their examinations on resumption.
LASPOTECH has also fixed classes for the HND students on resumption for three times a week – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, between 9.00am and 2.00pm.
For the ND I students, they are to receive lectures between the hour of 9.00am and 2.00pm on stipulated days.
Kuye also told our reporter that the institution has put necessary measures in place to curtail the spread of the COVID – 19 and also to ensure that students and staff comply with the stipulated protocols on resumption.
