The former Governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) and an Estate Developer, Mr Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi, has emerged Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Lagos East Senatorial bye – election.
He polled 529 votes to win the primary election held at PDP Secretariat beside Pedro Police Station, Palmgrove, Shomolu, today, Saturday, September 5, 2020.
THE IMPACT gathered accreditation and voting started around 2.00pm with about 500 delegates from the five Local Government Areas that made up Lagos East Senatorial District of the State.
The Ikorodu – born politician, who recently returned to the PDP, defeated Princess Abiodun Oyefusi, the party’s Senatorial candidate in the 2019 general elections, and Princess Saidat Odofin Fafowora, both of whom are also Ikorodu indigenes.
Both women scored 7 and 59 votes respectively.
The fourth aspirant, Mr Babatunde Olanrewaju Moshood from Epe LGA, polled 21 votes.
Gbadamosi will face the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who is also illustrious Ikorodu born, Mr Adetokunbo Abiru, in the bye-election scheduled to hold on October 31, 2020, across the five Local Governments in the District.
