Muslim leaders and other faithful observed this year’s Eid-el-Kabir prayers in commemoration of the annual Sallah celebration with their family members at home on Friday, July 31, 2020.
While the Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division and Chief Imam of Ikorodu Central Mosque, Fadhilatul Sheikh Seifudeen Ayinla Ademoritan Olowo-Oribi usually lead Sallah prayer at the Ikorodu Central Mosque’s praying ground situated along the Awolowo Way, the Chief Imam of the Oriwu Central Mosque, His Eminence, Sheikh Yahya Olorunosebi Oshoala Ajagbemokeferi (As – Samadani) leads prayer at Shams – ul – Deen praying ground in Ikorodu.
Unfortunately, Muslim faithful were prevented from congregating at various praying grounds as a result of the coronavirus pandemic which changed the situation of things globally.
They observe their special eid prayers with families in their various homes in compliance with the state government’s directive.
THE IMPACT also gathered that royal fathers, elected Representatives and other important personalities that are Muslims across Ikorodu Division also observed the eid prayers in their various houses.
During prayers, important families that observed eid prayers at home maintained physical distancing and wore face masks in line with the safety protocols of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
