The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ikorodu West Branch, has appointed the new Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Ikorodu General Hospital, Dr Taiwo Hassan, as Patron of the umbrella body of all youths organizations in the council, during a courtesy visit to him on Monday, July 13, 2020.
In a release signed by the Coordinator, NYCN Ikorodu West LCDA, Comrade Asoro Abubakri Olatunji, it was stated that the visit was embarked upon to congratulate Dr Hassan, who is a Prince of Ipakodo (major town in Ikorodu West LCDA of Ikorodu Division area of Lagos, Southwest, Nigeria), on his recent appointment as the Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer of General Hospital, Ikorodu.
“The Council expressed its joy over the recent posting of Dr Hassan, who is not only an uncle and father to the youths of Ikorodu West but also a son of the soil, to Ikorodu General Hospital as the Medical Director/ Chief Executive Officer”, the statement stated.
“The council wished him all the best in office and trust that he would be a good ambassador of Ikorodu West as he sets to change the narratives about the hospital.
“The council also used this opportunity to present it work plan and also solicit for job opportunities for the teaming youths of Ikorodu West LCDA whose Curriculum Vitae (CVs) will soon be compiled in a data base”.
Comrade Asoro, also at the visit, officially presented a letter of appointment to Dr Hassan, as Patron of the youth group, an offer he said that he gladly accepted.
Speaking during the brief visit, Dr Hassan appreciated the gesture, especially as one coming from the home front, and pledged his total support to the programmes and projects of the youth council, while also expressing confidence that the new executives of the body will excel in office.
