The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 157 new cases of Coronavirus in Lagos in its update late Thursday, July 9.
NDDC made this known via its Twitter handle, while also revealing new cases in other states in the country.
The new cases bring the total number of confirmed COVID – 19 infections in Lagos to 11, 544.
Meanwhile, the total number of cases in the country is now 30,748, as 499 new cases were recorded across the country on Thursday night according to the NCDC report.
According to the agency, aside the 157 cases recoded in Lagos, 59 cases were reported in Edo, 56 in Ondo, 31 in Oyo, 22 in akwa Ibom, 21 in Borno, 19 in Plateau, 18 in Kaduna, 18 in Katsina, 17 in Bayelsa, 17 in the FCT, 14 in Delta, 11 in Kano, 10 in Rivers, 8 in Enugu and 6 in Ogun.
Other cases reporter are 4 in Kwara, 3 in Imo, 2 in Nasarawa, 2 in Osun, 1 in Abia, 1 in Ekiti, 1 in Niger and 1 in Yobe.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control also said 12, 546 patients have so far treated and discharged upon recovery and 689 deaths recorded.
