A new Bishop of The African Church Lagos West Missionary Diocese, His Lordship, The Rt. Rev’d Hezekiah A. Adetoro, on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, resumed at the headquarters of the Diocese in Ikorodu.
A welcome service, which also signal the official resumption of the new Bishop, was held at the The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Aga, Ikorodu, the seat of the Bishop, with selected National, Diocesan, Archdeacon, Cathedral and Parish officers in attendance.
Bishop Adetoro, who arrived the Cathedral Church premises in the company of his wife, Mother – in – Israel, Lady Evangelist Victoria A.A Adetoro, and other family members, was welcomed to Ikorodu by the Lads & Lasses Bridgade with short salute parade.
During the brief welcome service, Vice-Lay President of the Diocese, Odofin Adeola Obayan, while welcoming the new Bishop, also solicited for cooperation and support from the congregation.
She stated that if the new Bishop is given necessary support, the Diocese would be piloted to the next level.
Meanwhile, the Lordship Bishop Adetoro, who spoke as humble servant of God, sought the cooperation and understanding from the people in the Diocese.
He described his posting to the Diocese as a new dawn,while also calling for a day of fasting and prayers next Wednesday to kick – start the new dawn.
Bishop Adetoro thanked all the Archbishops, Bishops, Clergies and Church officers in attendance for finding time to honour him.
The holy lesson for the brief service was taken from the Acts 21: 17 – 20.
