Dr Taiwo Hassan has, today (Thursday, June 11,2020), taken over the leadership of the General Hospital, Ikorodu, as the new Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer.
He took over from Dr. Adenike Odubiyi, who retired from the service of the Lagos State government today.
Dr Hassan last duty post was at the Ebute-Metta Comprehensive Health Centre, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, where he spent about a year as the Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer.
Dr Hassan, who is a Prince of Ipakodo Kingdom in Ikorodu division, was formerly a Deputy Medical Director, General Hospital, Ikorodu.
He had also served as a Director of Clinical Services, Head of Department, Medicine and Director, Service Delivery at the General Hospital, Ikorodu.
He was a Chief Medical Officer (July 2005 – Dec 2010) at Ogun – Osun, River Basin Development Authority, Nigeria, where he spent about 7 years.
He attended James Lind Institute (JLI) India July 2017 – Dec 2018, CRA Training Institute, Houston Texas, U.S.A 2015 – Dec 2016, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State 1986 – 1995, Baptist Academy, Obanikoro, Lagos (A Levels) 1985 – 1986, Ipakodo Grammar School, Ipakodo, Ikorodu, Lagos State 1980 – 1985, Local Government Primary School, Ipakodo, Ikorodu, Lagos State 1977 – 1979 and Mate Nursery and Primary School, Ketu, Lagos State 1975 – 1977.
He acquired several qualifications which include APG Diploma in Health Care and Hospital Management Dec 2018, CRA Professional Certificate Dec 2016, CDM Professional Certificate Sept 2015, M.B.CH.B, Ife 1995, West African School Certificate 1985 and First School Leaving Certificate 1980 among others.
As a thorough bred professional, Dr Hassan also acquired Certifications in numerous medical fields and attended several seminars within and outside the country and has also received many academics, community and professional awards.
He is a member of the prestigious Oriwu Club, Ikorodu,and a foremost development platform, Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group among others.
