Mr Samuel Jesutunbi, a 45 year old father of two, is seriously in need of financial assistance for his cancer treatment.
THE IMPACT learnt that the victim, who is a resident of Igbogbo in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ikorodu Division, Lagos, Southwest, Nigera, was diagnosed of the cancer disease in October 2019.
According to Comrade Francis Mani Shonubi, a community developer and social media activist in Ikorodu who has been leading the campaign for ‘Let’s Save Jesutunbi Samuel’, he said that the victim was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma of Anterior Chest Wall with Right Lung metastasis, which means that the cancer arose from the muscle of the chest affecting the bone and also spread to the right lung.
THE IMPACT gathered that a Consultant Radiologist, Dr. Chili J. ODO of Me Cure Healthcare Limited in Lagos, carried out a CT Scan of the Chest and the following was discovered:
“A huge mixed density mass in the right anterior chest wall apparently arising from the right pectoralis major muscle.
“Circumscribed Pulmorary nodules in the right lung field suggesting metastasis, and Multiple right axillary lymphadenopathies”.
Jesutunbi ‘s medical records was transferred from General Hospital, Ikorodu, to LASUTH, Ikeja, due to urgent need for Specialist review.
Appealing to the members of the pubic for assistance, Mr Shonubi stated that the cancer is spreading fast and that Mr Jesutunbi needs urgent treatment.
“The cancer has spread so much and urgent treatment with likely chemotherapy is needed.
“The rate of the growth of the cancer is alarming, hence the need for financial assistance from the general public to help him stay alive.
