Lagos State Government is not leaving anything to chance at all as officials of the state government today embarked on disinfection of bus stops and motor parks across the state.
According to the Channels Television, the exercise is part of the government’s efforts in ensuring that Coronavirus is prevented from spreading.
As at today, the total confirmed cases of the epidemic in the country is 46, out of which 2 has been discharge, 43 cases still active and 1 death recorded.
There are 30 cases in Lagos State, while Abuja, Ogun State have 8 and 3 cases respectively.
Ekiti, Oyo, Edo, Bauchi and Osun States have one case each
The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, took more restrictive measures to effectively contain the transmission of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the State by directing that all shops and markets selling non-essential items to close up business for the next seven days.
The market restriction takes effect from tomorrow (Thursday).
Also, the Governor has reduced the number of people that must participate in a public gathering at any given time from 50 to 25.
