Leader and other members of the Legislative Arm of the Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area in Ikorodu Division area of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, today impeached the Chairman of the council, Princess Jumoke Jimbo Ademehin.
THE IMPACT gathered that she was impeached for gross misconduct and abuse of office.
The embattled chairman has been at logger head with the councilors concerning their entitlements, lack of projects and other issues.
Attempts to reach the Council leader, Hon. Wasiu Agbaje and the Majority Leader Adebowale Kalejaiye to confirm the impeachment proved abortive as their phones are switched off.
We gathered that the Councilors immediately after the said impeachment went underground because of threat to their lives and to prevent the party leaders from forcing them to reverse their action.
Our reporter also called the embattled council chairman severally but her line did not go through and SMS sent to her has not been responded to.
When called, the Council Vice Chairman, Hon. Sesan Dada did not pick our reporter’s calls.
