Gbolahan Olumade, an Ikorodu-born skilled data analyst with experience in collecting, organizing and interpreting various types of statistical figures, has been listed among 30 talented individuals who are under 30 years that are leading the data centre and cloud industries in an innovative direction.
According to the Data magazine in its February/March 2020 edition, the individuals are selected based on their innovations through technological breakthroughs, business acumen, political guidance and exceptional marketing skills.
Gbolahan, who is a Lagos State University graduate of Electronics and Computer Engineering, is one of the two Africans that made the list.
He is a Command Centre and Enterprise IT Engineer at Rack Centre. He is responsible for monitoring data centre critical physical infrastructure, executive incident management procedures and also provide enterprise IT support.
He has helped transformed data centre operations and processes using his data analysis and programming language skills.
Gbolahan has also successfully developed a visitor access management application for the data centre, which resulted in huge cost savings and increased the operational efficiency of the business.
The young Ikorodu-born Data Analyst was a former IT Specialist at HIS Towers of Strength, a Communications company and Laboratory Analyst with Chevron.
During his time at HIS, he was part of the IT support team and also involved in the management of software services while at Chevron. He was also saddled with the responsibilities of running tests on all petroleum products such as petrol, diesel, kerosene, etc.
