-Presents JAMB/UTME forms to beneficiaries,
The initiator of ‘Ohun’ Ikorodu Education Support, a platform which distribute JAMB/UTME forms to indigent students in Ikorodu, Mr Hamza Jimoh, Bsc, Acipmn, LLB, has stated that the target of the project is to produce five University scholars in Ikorodu by 2024 through the gesture.
He made this revelation on Monday, January 27,2020, after presenting free JAMB/UTME forms to the first set of the beneficiaries who were screened by a committee.
Six beneficiaries, who are indigent students, were presented with the forms at the Funcity Amusement, along Lagos Road, Ikorodu.
In a release on his social media walls, Hamzat stated that the beneficiaries were not only presented the forms, but that they were also saved the stress of registration by paying for it at an accredited CBT centre.
“Yesterday, amidst very tight schedules, we presented the 2020 Ohun Ikorodu Free UTME forms to our first set of beneficiaries. We relieved them of the stress of registration also by paying for their registration at an accredited CBT centre in Ikorodu”, he said.
While stating that the gesture is beyond politics, the young entrepreneur reinstated that the education initiative is his own way of contributing to his society and encourage beneficiaries to greatness.
He added that the aim of the education support is to assist Ikorodu in producing five University scholars by 2024.
“I further reiterate it that this is beyond politics as it is a selfless service to humanity. We encourage the beneficiaries to study hard for the exam as we will be adopting the best candidate with over 250 score in the exam for a full blown scholarship, where the candidate has chosen our prestigious Lagos State University. The Vision is simple, by the year 2024, we plan to have 5 university scholars or graduates whom we can proudly say we saw through the university, with God on our sides.
“We pray that God gives us the capacity to do more for the cause of humanity”.
He thanked the screening committee coordinator for the thorough job done in selecting beneficiaries.
“I thank my dear brother, Sulaimon Mojeed Sanni, for his several efforts into making this year’s edition a success. We thank God for making us do this.”
Distribution of forms to other set of the beneficiaries continues on Tuesday , January 28, 2020, at the same venue.
