Lagos State House of Assembly has confirmed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Nominees list for members of the Lagos State House of Assembly Service Commission; Lagos State Executive Council; and Civil Service Commission at the Plenary Session on Thursday.
It would be recalled that the House had invited the nominees’ to appear before the Assembly today after adoption of the 8-Man Ad Hoc Committee report Chaired by the Chief Whip, Hon. Rotimi Abiru.
The Committee screened the nominees to determine their readiness and competence while documents like curriculum vitae, medical certificate for fitness, tax clearance, voter’s card, Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) card and letters from each of their Local Government amongst others were presented by the nominees.
Nominees’ confirmed for Commissionership positions in the Lagos State Executive Council are Engr. Paul Omotayo Bamgbose-Martins, Mr. Ayuba Adele Ganiyu, and Mr. Oyerinde Olugbenga Olanrewaju while Mrs. Olubunmi Fabamwo, Mr. Mohammed Adesina Odeyemi, Hon. Kamal Olorunoje, Mr. Babatunde Tiamiyu Seriki and Hon. Hodewu Suru Avoseh are confirmed for the Civil Service Commission.
Also confirmed by the lawmaker for the Lagos State House of Assembly Service Commission are Hon. Kabir Olajide Lawal, Hon. Bello Akeem Abiodun and Mr. Oshungboye Richard Akinola.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa stated that the House of Assembly would not relent on its oversight function and would continue to monitor activities of the Executive arm in whatsoever capacity.
He thereafter directed the Clerk of the House, Mr. Azeez Sanni to forward the list of the confirmed to the Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
