Wale Jagun

It was a well-deserved honour for the leader of Onyabo Vigilance group, Ikorodu Division Command, Chief Muh. Jamiu Remilekun Olanrewaju Olabinjo, when he was honoured with a warrior title, ‘Akogun’ by the traditional ruler of Batoro town in Shagamu, His Royal Highness, Oba Sulaimon Adekunle Odeyemi, Dosumu II, the Lowa-Ibu of Batoro Sagamu in Ogun State.
Chief Olabinjo, who is the Second-in-Command of the Onyabo Vigilance group that has been combating crimes and criminalities across Ikorodu division and also supplying the conventional security arms with intelligence report, was bestowed with the chieftaincy title alongside his wife, Chief (Mrs) Bilikisu Morenikeji Olabinjo who was installed as Yeye Akogun of Batoro land, at a ceremony which took place at the Batoro palace in Shagamu.
The installation event was attended by dignitaries and residents from Ikorodu on Friday, January 3, 2020.

Among the dignitaries were the Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly and Opomulero of Ikorodu Kingdom, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade, the Olumale Eluku of Ikorodu Kingdom, High Chief Rasaq Sodipo, the Iyaloa-General of Ikorod Division, Alhaja Taofikat Allison, and the leader of the Onyabo Vigilance Group, Chief Rafiu Onilegboro.
The Ikorodu Division Council of Obas & Chiefs, Tobalase Club, All Stars Football Organization, Ram Sellers Association, Ikorodu, Onyabo Vigilance Group and Onward Movement of Nigeria were also well represented at the ceremony.
