The Executive Secretary, Lagos State Scholarship Board, Dr. Biodun Onayele have disclosed that beneficiaries of the 2017/2018 State bursary have started receiving payment of their bursary.
Onayele made this disclosure today Wednesday, 18th December, 2019 while addressing newsmen in his office.
He also appealed to other categories of beneficiaries who are yet to get their bank alert to exercise patience as efforts are in top gear to ensure that all beneficiaries of both Bursary and Scholarship Awards are paid.
He expressed the commitment of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education; Mr. Adetokunbo Wahab towards ensuring that the state government sustains its commitment in this regard in spite of other numerous area calling for the attention of the State Government.
He added that Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu remains committed to ensuring Lagosians are empowered through provision of quality and accessible education for the attainment of the 21st century economy being championed by the present administration in the State.
The Executive Secretary further stated that “the timely release of the awards demonstrates the priority the administration of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu accords to the education of residents of the State.
