It was yet another joyous celebration for Mr Taiwo Orenuga, the former Executive Secretary of Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), and her beautiful wife on Saturday, December 8, 2019, as they gave out another daughter out in marriage.
The tripartite event, which featured Engagement ceremony, Hole Solemnization and Reception, took place on the same day and recorded impressive attendance as family members, guests, friends and well-wishers of the lucky couple turned out enmasse to honor them.
The memorable event took off with the Engagement ceremony between the families of Mr & Mrs Orenuga (the Bride’s parents) and Mr & Mrs Anthony Olakojo (the Groom’s parents) at the 11:30 Multipurpose Hall, Olu-Odo, Igbogbo.
After the engagement, the couple and their parents, guests and well-wishers moved to the St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Igbogbo, where the pretty bride, Miss Adetola Morenike Orenuga and her handsome hearthrob, Mr Olalekan Opeyemi Olakojo, were joined as husband and wife.
After the Church event, the wedding train moved back to the 11:30 Multipurpose Hall for the reception party.
It was indeed a beautiful spectacle to behold when the new couple were ushered into the hall as they danced to songs specially dedicated to them by Deejay to the admiration of the gathering who gave them a standing ovation.
The couple further demonstrated their deep love for each other when they took the dance floor to have their first dance as a couple after which they proceeded to the cake stand to cut their wedding cake.
Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state who chaired the wedding reception, while speaking, stated:
“We are gathered here to celebrate the new couple. We have been here before but left for the Church where the couple listened to sermon” he said.
“I congratulate the couple and their families for this wonderful achievement”, he stated while rejoicing with the new couple.
“The couple should love each other and their parents should guide them aright in their journey into life”, Asiwaju Basorun advised.
He thanked and prayed for the guests that attended the wedding ceremony and prayed for them for honouring the couple.
Among the guests that attended the wedding ceremony were Comrade Sesan Daini, Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Wasiu Adeshina, Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, Alhaji Gafaar, Chieftain of APC and Alhaja Funmi Basorun Osinowo, Chieftain of APC and many others.
