His Royal Majesty, Oba Olusegun Benson, the Olojodu of Ojodu, and Rt. Revd. S.O. Osundina, Bishop Diocese of Ikorodu Methodist Church of Nigeria, led other dignitaries to the launch of a musical album, ‘Ore Ofe’, released by gospel and Juju singer, Prince Adewale Idowu-Shode, and his group, Ola-Adewale & His Crown Band.
The well-attended event was held at the Oriwu Club House along Ikorodu-Shagamu Road, Ikorodu, on Sunday, November 17, 2019.
Multi-instrumentalist and singer, Prince Adewale, who is a well-known musician in Ikorodu Division for his gospel and juju flavor brand of music, is a prominent member of the Performing Musician Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Ikorodu chapter.
Oba Olusegun Benson, who was the royal guest of the occasion, commended the singer for the album and gave his royal blessings for its success.
Side A of the album consists of ten tracks which are mainly gospel songs. The tracks are ‘Egbe Olacrown’, ‘Oluwa, Oluwa wa’, ‘Ko se ka’, Ko se re’, ‘Ore ofe’, ‘Iwo nika l’Olorun mi’, ‘Odawa lare’, ‘Ao feja ni Nigeria’, ‘Fere si se mi’ and ‘Ijoo nbe lese mi’.
On the side B of the album, Ola Crown & his band sing the praise of the Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom and the 1st Permanent Vice Chairman of the Lagos State Council of Obas & Chief, HRM Oba Adewale Shotobi , and some other prominent sons of Ikorodu who are mainly members of the Methodist Church of Nigeria.
Other tracks on Side B of the album are ‘Jiji moji lowuro kutu’, ‘A fope f’Olorun’, ‘Baba ye’, ‘Iwa rere’, ‘Saanu mi o Baba’, ‘Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi’, ‘Sir Ayodele Elesho’, ‘Sir Adewale Sunmoni’, ‘Chief Oluwole Odulate’, ‘Egbe Rock of Ages’ and ‘Chief Sode & Board Members Olubi’.
