The week-long activities commemorating the 2019 Igbogbo Day
on Saturday came to a close when hundreds of guests, visitors and residents of
the ancient Igbogbo community gathered at the Igbogbo Township Stadium for the
grand finale.
Music was supplied by the popular fuji musician, Alhaji
Abass Akande Obesere.
Some of the traditional rulers that graced the occasion to felicitate with His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimdegun Kasal, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo were His Royal Majesties, Oba Mudashiru Ajibade Agoro, Ranodu of Imota, Oba Richard Ogunsanya, Olubeshe of Ibeshe and Oba Bashir Aremu Sotonwa, Sekumade of Ipakodo, Oba Aderibigbe Asumo, Alayandelu of Odo-Ayandelu, Oba Abdulateef Taiwo Badru, Elejigbo of Langbasa, Oba Nelson Obayomi Ogunlari, Olowu of Owu-Ikosi.
Oba Semiudeen Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Oba Richard ogunsanya, the Olubeshe of Ibeshe and Hon. Babajimi Benson, the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Abuja at the grand finale on Saturday.
Also at the celebrations were yop government functionaries and important dignitaries among which were Hon Babajimi Adekoge Benson, Member of House of Rerpresentatives, Hon Nurudeen Solaja, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Adeola Banjo, Chairman Ikorodu North LCDA, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Member, Governor Advisory Council, Sen. Seye Ogunlewe, former Minister for Works, Hon. (Chief) Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola, former acting Commissioner Tourism and Special Adviser on Arts & Culture, Otunba Ganiu Abiru, Chairman, Ikorodu-Oga Development Association (IKODASS), Otunba Ayodele Elesho, former Cmmissioner for Information and the Agbaakin of Ikorodu among many others.
