Kunle Adelabu
One of the Trustees of The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu, Pa Amos Olabinjo Oshin, one of the oldest people in Ikorodu, is 92 year old today.
Pa Oshin, popularly called ‘Asiri-Abo’, ‘Teacher Alajo’ and ‘Oyinbo Alajo’’, was a retired teacher, community leader, thrift collector/money lender in his active years in Ikorodu and Igbogbo areas of Ikorodu division. He’s also a philanthropist and family head in both communities.
Though, age has taken toll on the untiring Octogenarian activeness, he still attends morning prayer every morning at the African Church Bethel Cathedral at Aga from his Itunmeko home, a practice he has been engaging in for many decades.
No doubt, Pa Oshin is blessed with good health as he still actively engage in many things.
In the same manner, Pa Oshin also attend Church service every Sunday as General Lay Reader/Evangelist.
He is an active participant at the Church Council’s meeting and other meetings at the Archdeaconry, Diocesan and General Conference of the Church.
Pa Oshin also attends and presides over the meetings of his families in Ikorodu and Igbogbo.
As a repository of his community’s, families’ and Church’s histories, many people go to the Octogenarian for counseling, advice and information.
