The Chief Executive Officer of the Suave Record, Senior Legislative Aide at the National Assembly and a Tax Auditor, Mr Hassan Bashir Oluwakemi, was among other distinguished residents of Ikorodu who were honoured with ‘Oga’ awards on Sunday, November 10, 2019, by the Ikorodu-Oga Development Association (IKODASS).
Also honoured at the award, which was held at the Ikorodu Town hall, were Alhaji Abdul-Hakeem Oladipupo, Chief S. Dalau Rasheed Olasnajo, Engr. Lamidi Akeem Abiodun, Mr Kamorudeen Adeyemi Olutosin, Mrs Olasumbo Folake Shitta and Chief Hassan Taiwo Atofarati.
Oba Kabir Shotobi, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, and his wife, Olori Kudirat, led a host of eminent dignitaries to the memorable event.
Otunba Ganiyu Abiru, the IKODASS Chairman, while welcoming guests to the event, stated that the ‘Oga’ award is part of the activities marking the 28th edition of the annual Oga Day Celebration.
“Today is set aside to give due recognition to indigenes and non-indigenes who have excelled in their various professional endeavours and by extenson contributed to the growth, progress and development of the community in particular and state in general” , Otunba Abiru stated.
