A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu and philanthropist, Lion (Alhaja) Olufunmi Oshinowo – Basorun, has emerged as the Starlight Legacy Celebrity Magazine’s 2019 ‘Ikorodu Amazon of the year’.
She was presented with the award on Sunday, September 15,2019, along with other ladies and women who were also honoured for their outstanding contributions to Ikorodu Division at an award dinner held at the Ikorodu Town hall.
Those honored in the ‘Sterling Amazons’ category of the outstanding awards for women were – Mrs Kemi Kalesanwo, Director, Lagos State Agency for Mass Education and a community developer, Mrs Funke Awoyemi, a community developer and business woman, Mrs Yetunde Ajiboye, Hon. Oluyemisi Solarin Akinyemi, Secretary to the Imota LCDA, Hon. A. Adaramola, Supervisory Council, Women Affairs & Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), Ikorodu North LCDA, Chief (Mrs) Adenike Olayiwola-Abdulazeez, 2-I-C, Area N Command, SP Tokunbo Abaniwonda, Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ipaja Police Station and Mrs Adeola Adewale, a blogger.
Ms Arinola Okeowo, a Broadcaster, estate agent and an entrepreneur, Mrs Mosunmola Omotayo, model, caterer and student leader in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Mrs Adeola Oyebanjo, a real estate developer and a politician and Ms Latifat Salisu, a laboratory technologist and student leader in Imota LCDA also emerged as awardees in the ‘Promising youth for leadership in the Division’ category from Ikorodu , Igbogbo, Ijede and Imota respectively.
Dignitaries at the ceremony were Barr. Saheed O.K. Shillings, Yeye Adeola Agunbiade, Dr T.A.G Okeowo, Alhaji Lamidi Folorunsho, Alhaji Ola4, Mr Segun Iluyombo, Hon. Azeez Jimoh Olosugbo and many others.
