The representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Nurudeen Solaja, has assured constituents in Ikorodu division, especially those in Ikorodu Constituency II, that some of the roads that are in deplorable state would be rehabilitated and made motorable soon.
He gave the assurance in a press release sent to THE IMPACT titled, “The State Of Our Roads In Ikorodu Constituency II And My Contributions”.
The two-term lawmaker stated that he decided to issue the release to the public following ceaseless calls and comments on the social media coupled with lamentations by constituents over the deplorable state of roads in Ikorodu division and its attendant adverse effects on social and economic lives of the people and the community.
“After receiving several calls, text messages, pictures and reading different comments and observations on the state of our roads in Ikorodu Constituency II on social media, I felt the need to express my feelings over the hardship being experienced by our people on daily basis”.
He appreciated the people for their patience in the face of the hardship and excruciating experiences on most of the roads in Ikorodu division.
Hon Solaja stated that he is committed to the infrastructural renewal and general developments of Ikorodu division.
“Firstly, I will like to use this medium to appreciate each and everyone for their concern and also reiterate my passion and commitment towards the development of the entire Ikorodu division”.
He corroborated his Ikorodu Constituency I counterpart’s statement that the Governor and the Lagos State House of Assembly have been making efforts to rehabilitate roads needing attention across the state .
The lawmaker stated that he has nominated some roads in his Constituency for rehabilitation and that construction works would commenced on them immediately after the raining season.
“I also want to use this medium to assure the general public that lots of efforts have been put in place by the Lagos State Government and the Lagos State House of Assembly towards rehabilitating all the roads that need urgent attention in our Constituency, particularly Ijede-Itamaga road, Imota-Itoikin road, Oba Sekunmade road, Ogunlewe road among others”, he assured.
“Personally, I have already nominated the above stated road projects for repair and work will begin on them immediately after the raining season. The untold hardship being experienced on daily basis by residents of this axis on these roads is worrisome to me and I assure that they will all be fixed.
“Without mincing words, I will like to conclude by thanking the people of Ikorodu constituency II for their patience, cooperation, understanding, prayers, and love for the current administration in the state led by His Excellence, Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
