-Event to hold alongside Starlight’s 15th anniversary in September 15
Starlight Magazines, organisers of the Ikorodu Amazons Awards, has announced the postponement of the recognition awards for women making positive impact in different spheres in the division to September 2019.
The award and public lecture, themed “The Role Of Mothers In Combating Drug Abuse Amongst Youths”, earlier scheduled for Sunday, July 28, 2019, will now hold alongside the 15th anniversary of Starlight magazines at Ikorodu Town hall, on Sunday, September 12, 2019.
Omoba Adedamola Aderibigbe, the Publisher of Starlight Magazines, speaking with THE IMPACT, explained that the change in plan is to make the award commemorate the 15 years of the community event paper’s existence.
“Starlight newspaper will be 15 on the 11th of September 2019. We deemed it fit to postpone our award ceremony and merge it with our anniversary celebrations in September.
“The award ceremony will now be held with the 15th year celebration of Starlight newspaper on the 15th of September at the Ikordu Town hall.
“This will add more colour, glamour and also make it eventful.
“We apologise to our awardees, guests and partners for any inconvenience the change in date might cause”, he apologized.
