Different security formations in Ikorodu Division today met to strategise on how to combat the renewed cult clashes that took Ikorodu by storm on Monday, April 1st and claimed several lives while many were inflicted with various degree of injuries.
THE IMPACT gathered that security agencies met under the leadership of the Area N Commander after gathering intelligence that members of the rival cult groups,whose recent activities have instilled fears in the residents of Ikorodu, are planning final assault tonight.
At the meeting were the head of MOPOL unit in Igbogbo, Divisional Police Officers in Ikorodu and its environment, Anti-Cultism team, SARS, DSS, Neighbourhood Watch and Onyabo Vigilance Group among others.
We also have reliably gathered that kingpins of the two groups are mobilizing for another onslaught tonight which necessitated the high –powered security meeting in Ikorodu on the order of the police commissioner in the state.
“It’s true that we held a crucial meeting involving all the conventional and non-conventional security formations in Ikorodu because of the security report that we gathered that these hoodlums are planning a showdown tonight.
“We are battle ready and they are going to get the shock of their lives if they dare regroup”, the source stated while daring the rival cult groups.
