A young man in his 40s was yesterday’s afternoon shot dead by two men that trailed him to Asasa Lamberu Street, off Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikorodu.
The IMPACT gathered that his assailants shot at him three times at a close range and thereafter, stoned him severally.
He was left in the pool of his blood in front of the First Atlantic School while the assailants immediately left the scene on the motorbike they brought for the operation leaving the residents of the area in panic.l
THE IMPACT gathered that the two assailants, who had arrived the street about 40 minutes earlier, called the victim on phone to the scene after a while.
According to a source, the victim came out answering the phone call when his assailants accosted him and attempted to take him away and when he resisted, they shot him.
It was alleged that the assailants went away with his phone.
We, however, could not confirm if the incident was cult-related as at the press time.
