Know Your Candidates: 17 Senatorial, 11 House of Reps Candidates Vying For Two Seats -

Aside joining the rest of the 36 States of the federation and Abuja in voting in the Presidential Election slated for February, electorate in Ikorodu Division which comprises of six councils and thirty Wards will be joining the rest of the Lagos East Senatorial District to vote for Senatorial candidates and their own representative at the Federal House of Representatives.

Both the Presidential and National Assembly elections are fixed for Saturday, February 16, 2019.

Seventeen political parties will be fielding candidates for the much coveted Senatorial seat in the Lagos East Senatorial District, while 11 candidates will also be vying for the Ikorodu Federal Constituency seat in the lower house of the National Assembly.

The final list of the candidates for the two positons was released on Thursday, January 17, 2019, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In the contest for the sole seat of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the House of the Representatives are 11 candidates who have been cleared by the electoral body for the election..

Four term member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Osinowo Sikiru Adebayo APC), Princess Oyefusi Abiodun Adetola(PDP), Mr Francis Shonubi (AAC), Mrs Fakoya Olajumoke Modupe (ADC),Lijadu Ayodele Cyril,( KP), Mustapha Bolarinwa (AD) and Aderonke Iyabode Adeniji (PPN) are among those whose names appears on the final list.

Also cleared by INEC to contest in the February 2019 election for the House of Representatatives election are the incumbent, Hon. Benson Babajimi Adegoke (APC), Disu Ramota Omotola (PDP), Bakare Ahmed Temitayo (AD), Arinze Chris Emenayo (ADC), Olayiwola Adam Olawale (PPN) and Inimfon Osikoya (SDP).
