Five matches were played in the knock-out stage of the ongoing 2018 IKODASS 5-Aside Championship taking place at the Ikorodu Youth Centre Playing Ground, Ita-Elewa, Ikorodu.
In the first match played on Monday, November 5, Itunpate defeated Itunmoja 3 -1 in a penalty shoot-out after playing 1 – 1 at the regulation time.
The second match between Ikorodu Central Ward B and Ikorodu West Ward D also ended one goal apiece at the regulation time but the Ikorodu West side carried the day by defeating Ikorodu Central side 3 – 1 in the penalty kicks
Olowo-Eye also beat Ikorodu Ward E 4 goals to 1 in another penalty shootout to emerged as the third qualifier from the knockout stage
The fourth match was settled in favour of Owolowo team which defeated Ikorodu Ward C 4 goals to nothing in the only match that was decided at the regulation time.
After a goalless 20 minutes of play, Ikorodu West Ward A defeated their Eyita counterpart 3 – 2 in a penalty shootout to emerged as the fifth qualifier from the knockout stage
The remaining 10 teams will take their turns today (Tuesday) at the same venue.
