The organizers of the 3rd edition of Oba Shotobi Independence Day Marathon has announced that the annual event would now hold on Saturday, October 13, 2018.
The marathon was originally scheduled to hold on Monday, October 1, 2018.
The 7.3km race, which has been staged for three consecutive years, was shifted because of the rescheduled primary elections of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.
The race was renamed from Hon. S.O.B Agunbiade Independence Day Mini- Marathon to Oba Shotobi Independence Day Mini-Marathon in 2015.
Meanwhile, Mr Akeem Bello, Chairman, Planning Committee of the 4th edition of the race, in a phone chat, informed THE IMPACT that:
“It is now confirmed that the annual marathon race initially scheduled for October 1, would now hold on Saturday, October 13.
He added that the organizers are putting everything in place to make this year’s event bigger and better.
