In a release signed by Alhaji Kamaldeen Ajalogun, the Director-General of Team SOB 2019, he enjoined party members to partake in the primary elections
He also endorsed aspiration of Babajide Sanwo-Olu whom he declared fit and proper to occupy the office of the Lagos State Governor
“Ahead of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State will tomorrow (today) elect its governorship candidate through a direct primary election that will see all genuine party members trooping out to cast their votes” he stated
“As loyal and committed party men and women, we eagerly look forward to participating in this civic exercise, with very high hopes that the process will throw up the best man for the job.
“But as democrats we also have good reasons to believe strongly in the aspiration of Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu as the right man to govern Lagos state from 2019” he stated
“Given his achievements and antecedents in and out of government in the last decade or more, we are convinced that he is fit and proper for the task.
“Convinced of his abilities, we urge party leaders and members in Ikorodu division to go all out tomorrow and elect Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu as the APC candidate. We believe this is what is needed for the continued greatness of Lagos beyond 2019.
He enjoined party members to conduct their affairs peacefully during primary elections:
“While thanking all and sundry in anticipation of your cooperation tomorrow, we also urge you all to ensure peaceful conduct of the exercise and avoid all forms of unruly behaviours. This we need to protect the credibility of the outcome.
“Again, we affirm that our votes are for Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, and so should be yours. Thank you all” Alhaji Ajalogun affirmed
