Otunba Waliu Daisi, the Omo-Nla of Ikorodu Kingdon and the State Vice Chairman and Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Ikorodu chapter, celebrated his 50th birthday in grand style with the commissioning of a multi-million naira mosque which he built and donated to the Agura Muslim Community in Ikorodu Local Government.
The birthday, which was celebrated amidst glitz and glamour, was witnessed by an impressive turnout of eminent dignitaries which included royal fathers, politicians, captains of industry, socialites and chieftains of transport unions as well as Otunba Daisi’s family members, friends and well wishers who were all looking radiance in their respective colourful attires.
Some of the dignitaries at the celebration were Hon. Sanai Oyeniran Agunbiade, the Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Oba Shotobi, Oba Richard Abayomi Ogunsanya, the Olubeshe of Ibeshe land, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, and Oba Akeem Adeoriyomi Oyebo, Obateru of Egbin.
Also at the golden jubilee celebration were Chairman NURTW, Lagos State Chapter, Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede, Chieftains of NURTW (Ikorodu and Lagos chapters)
