-Otunba Waliu Daisi honoured as ‘Omo-Nla’

The Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Adegorushen V, on Saturday, August 4, 2018, installed many prominent sons of Ikorodu and their wives as well as others with honourary chieftaincy titles.

The ceremony, which was held at the Ayangbure palace in Ikorodu, was part of the activities marking the 3rd year coronation anniversary of Oba Shotobi as the Ayangbure of Ikorodu.

Sir (Otunba) Ayodele Oluwole Elesho, a former Commissioner for Information in Lagos State, Labour leader and Knight of John Wesley (KJW), topped the honorees’ list as he was installed ‘Agba Akin’ of Ikorodu, while is wife, Chief (Mrs) Oluwatoyin Aramide Elesho, was installed as Yeye Fuwagboye of Ikorodu.

Also on the list was Chief Joseph Oluwole Odulate and Chief (Mrs) Arinade Odulate who were installed as Fuyigbade and Yeye Fuyigbade of Ikorodu.

Others that were also honoured by the royal father were Chief Joseph Odusanya (Omomulero of Ikorodu), Chief Reuben Nwako (Omobowale of Ikorodu), Chief (Mrs) Anita Nwako (Yeye OMobowale of Ikorodu), Chief S. Olukunle Ojo (Bobagbuyi of Ikorodu), Chief (Mrs) Olufunmilayo Ojo (Yeye Bobagbuyi of Ikorodu) and Chief (Dr) Mrs Ayanna Amoke Balogun (Yeye Imole of Ikorodu).

Two prominent individuals were also added to the line of Otunbas of Ikorodu Kingdom. They are Otunba Olugbenga Ajenishe as Otunba Efuewu of Ikorodu and Otunba Wasiu Odofin as Otunba Adetelu of Ikorodu.

Oba Shotobi had on Friday, August 3, 2018, performed same ceremony for Otunba Waliu Olanrewaju Daisi, the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Ikorodu chapter, who was installed as Omo-Nla of Ikorodu Kingdom.

Many dignitaries attended the installation of Otunba Daisi which also took place at the Ayangburen Palace.

The Coronation Anniversary, which started on Thursday, August 2nd, 2018, has different scheduled programmes including Market Day, Princes and Princesses Day and the commissioning of the New Palace Extension by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu among other activities.
